Congratulations to Soukaina Riad, a PhD student at the GeM under the supervision of CNRS senior researcher Julien Réthoré. She was awarded the CSMA 2022 Poster Prize in the "Lifetime of Structures" category for her poster "Prise en compte des effets de la microstructure en fissuration" at the 15th National Conference on Structural Computations held in Giens from 16 to 20 May 2022.
Soukaina’s work proposes two independent approaches to take into account the effects of microstructure in the complex fracture process in metallic materials.
