Alain Bernard appointed to the Scientific and Educational Development Committee of the 'La Main à la Pâte' Foundation
Centrale Nantes Emeritus Professor Alain Bernard, of the Laboratory of Digital Sciences of Nantes (LS2N), was appointed a member of the Scientific and Educational Development Committee of the 'La Main à la Pâte' Foundation on 6 January 2022.

The 'La main à la pâte' Foundation aims to improve the quality of science and technology teaching in primary and middle schools, i.e. during early education where equality of opportunity is key. Its action is geared towards providing support and professional development for science teachers. It aims to help teachers implement an investigative approach to teaching that stimulates pupils' analytical and critical thinking skills, their understanding of the world and ability to express themselves.
On 6 January 2022, the Foundation's Board of Governors renewed the membership of its Scientific and Educational Development Committee. The Committee, chaired by Alain Cadix, member of the Académie des technologies, advises the Board of Governors on major orientations in the field of scientific/technological education and is a force for proposal on the actions to be carried out by the Foundation. It also supports the Foundation's actions in terms of educational and scientific cooperation, partnerships and development.
