With more and more talk of the Metaverse, what can this virtual environment bring to the world of education, training, and beyond, to the professional sphere and culture? To respond to these issues, Nantes University is organising the first edition of the national meeting "Future learning with immersive technologies". The focus of the whole day will be on the diversity of immersive technologies (virtual reality, augmented reality), in vocational training, higher education and the professional sphere, through conferences, round tables, showrooms and demonstrations.
9.30 am to 5.00 pm | Halle 6 Ouest, 42 rue de la Tour d'Auvergne, Nantes
As a result of more than 15 years of collaboration between two Nantes-based laboratories (the LS2N and the François Viète Centre), which demonstrated that interdisciplinarity is possible, there are now many initiatives to use and problematise digital technology to conserve, model and enhance heritage. In Nantes, researchers, institutions and schools are joining forces to carry out innovative projects.
Building on the European Heritage Days of 17 and 18 September, "Culture and Digital Heritage in Nantes #4" will take a step back from practices in order to identify future prospects while taking into account the needs of society in terms of the thirst for knowledge about our past, thus bringing Science and Society together.
The day's programme will include 18 speakers, 3 round tables and 1 demo-tour around 4 main themes:
With Jean-Marie Normand, Associate Professor at Centrale Nantes, expert in virtual reality (AAU Laboratory).
