Conference - Can economics save the planet? with William Honvo

The next Ecological Transition Morning at Centrale Nantes will take place on Thursday 6 February 2025 with William Honvo, who will discuss ecological transition through the prism of economics.

Co-author of the comic strip Les économistes sauveront la planète (avec un peu d'aide), William Honvo advocates rethinking our economic system in order to meet the social and environmental challenges of the ecological transition.

As an economist with the Banque de France and the Caisse des Dépôts, William Honvo has in-depth knowledge of the institutions. This conference will be an opportunity to question their role, but also their limits in the move towards greater social and environmental justice.

The conference is in French and open to all.

It will take place at Centrale Nantes on Thursday 6 February 2025, in Lecture Theatre A, from 10.15am to 12.15pm.

Every year, a group of students following the Engineering for Ecological Transition professional option organises conferences on ecological issues. It is an opportunity to learn a little more and to debate with the key players in ecological transition.
