Conference: Decarbonisation FROM and VIA research

In a world where climate challenges are becoming ever more pressing, the world of health and industrial research is at a decisive crossroads. The issue of controlling our carbon footprint is becoming a central one, prompting us to rethink our methods and objectives in order to minimise our environmental footprint. The aim of this conference is to provide a forum where the scientific community in Nantes can come together to respond to one of the most pressing societal challenges of our time: decarbonisation.

Bringing together the 15 NExT research clusters, this multidisciplinary conference will be structured around four thematic sessions, one of which will focus on research as an accelerator for the decarbonisation of transport and energy (session 4). This session will provide an opportunity to discover, among other things:
 

• the MERVENT carbon-free container ship project
• economic research on the effects of carbon taxation on the maritime ecosystem.
