The 11th EWTEC conference topics span the field of wave and tidal energy research, ranging from theoretical physics, through technical aspects, to social and economical subjects.

The conference is open to professionals, engineers, scientists and academics around the world.
PhD Students and researchers from LHEEA Laboratory ( Ecole Centrale de Nantes and CNRS), specialists and pioneers of these issues in the world of research organize, in the lobby of the City of Congress, an educational exhibition open to the public. They will explain the principles of the renewable energy of the ocean. Young and old are welcome from 13 am to 17 h30 Sunday September 6 to Wednesday, September 10th .

The Eleventh European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference EWTEC2015 will take place in Nantes (FRANCE), from the 6th to 11th September 2015.

In the field of Marine Renewable Energies, Research and industrial development are linked by the necessity to innovate to speed up access to the market. This international scientific conference, which has been held every two years in Europe since 1993, provides a forum where researchers, engineers and all people involved in the development of Marine Renewable Energies can meet and exchange ideas, experience, and much more.

Nantes and the Région des Pays de la Loire host an increasing number of actors involved in the development of this sector: big industrial groups, SMEs, start-ups, and several internationally recognized academic institutions like Ecole Centrale de Nantes. EWTEC2015 will be an ideal opportunity to meet them all in the pleasant environment of the venue: La Cité des Congrès.
