IESF Conference: Decarbonising the cement industry and building for tomorrow

This conference (in French) will showcase recent advances in decarbonising the cement and concrete industry, both in terms of research and engineering.

On November 21, 2024 from 19:00 To 21:00

On November 21, 2024 from 19:00 To 21:00

It would be impossible to live in more vertical cities with less sprawl, or to build engineering structures that will last for more than a hundred years, without the use of all forms of concrete. Using less material, less energy and producing fewer greenhouse gases (CO2 and its reuse) is the primary objective of the cement industry, research laboratories and engineers alike.

Conference programme:

  • The cement process and its roadmap towards decarbonisation - example of the Saint-Pierre la Cour cement plant
  • What to do with CO2? TAKE KAIR project
  • Optimising construction through innovation and engineering

Speakers

  • Docteur Sébastien Granger
Technical Manager, DRV Nord / Lafarge Ciments
  • Guillaume Lelong
    Hynamics / Groupe EDF
  • Professeur Emmanuel Rozière
Director of Sustainable Development at Centrale Nantes

The conference will be followed by a question and answer session and refreshments.
