In our third edition of 2022, we meet Jean-Yves Hascoët, Professor at the Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM) and Head of the Rapid Manufacturing Platform. Previously Dean of Research at Centrale Nantes, Prof Jean-Yves Hascoët is an international expert in Additive Manufacturing. He manages national and international research projects in this field for industrial applications, e.g., propeller blades with Naval Group, and train parts with the SNCF.
Over the course of the last six years he has brought his engineering expertise into health and medical research, working alongside surgeons on 3D printing and bioprinting.
