Our new Bachelor of Science in Engineering is now accredited

Centrale Nantes is expanding its international education offer with the creation of a new Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering. With a first intake in September 2023, the programme is designed for international students willing to develop a global engineering profile and will be taught in English on its Nantes campus.

The three-year BSc programme is now accredited by the CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur), the independent body responsible for accrediting engineering degrees in France. Students that obtain this degree will be awarded a national bachelor level certificate and are thus ideally placed to pursue Master’s studies both in France and worldwide, or to join the workforce directly.
 
This new Bachelor builds on our experience at undergraduate level with the four-year Bachelor in Engineering taught in Mauritius and Nantes from 2016 through to 2022 and follows on from the co-creation of the BBA in Data & Management with Audencia Business School which saw its first intake of students in September 2021.
 

A choice of academic focus

The three-year programme comprises two years of core curriculum courses and a final year with a choice of four academic focus areas: 'Mechanical Engineering', 'Fluids and Energy', 'Civil Engineering' or 'Control and Robotics'

Hands-on industry exposure

In line with the school's values, one third of the programme focuses on business sciences, social sciences and foreign languages, with a strong emphasis on developing professional and entrepreneurial skills. Students will gain invaluable hands-on experience through a total of six months of internships. Coursework also includes regular contact with industry via industrial study projects and engineering projects, with external speakers and experts playing an active role in the curriculum.

An international programme

Open to applicants with a high school diploma in science or equivalent, the BSc programme is set to welcome international students from around the globe. The language of instruction is English. Whilst there is no prior requirement to speak or understand French for admission to the Bachelor programme, French language classes are provided as part of the curriculum.

With the addition of this programme, Centrale Nantes will be providing a full education offer in engineering for international students from bachelor right through to PhD level. Applications

The applications process for entry in September 2023 is open. An Early Bird reduction in tuition fees of €1,500 for the first year of study is granted to non European international students who make their first tuition payment within one month of being offered a place on the programme.
