ENSM and Centrale Nantes sign a new agreement
With the aim of expanding their collaboration to develop a genuine centre of maritime excellence in Nantes, Centrale Nantes is hosting the Nantes branch of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Maritime (ENSM) in a new building shared by the two institutions.

An agreement linking the two institutions was signed on 27 November 2023 during the ENSM local development committee meeting, in the presence of the Region, the DRARI and the city.
A new 3-storey building with a usable floor area of 4,742 m², housing 14 classrooms, 15 innovative research rooms, 5 digital class rooms, a lecture theatre, an atrium with collaborative and digital spaces, and specialised rooms for the ENSM's navigation simulators, opened at the start of the 2023 academic year, thus providing the capacity to accommodate the ENSM's new cohorts, as well as Centrale Nantes engineering, masters and bachelors students. The total cost of the demolition/construction was €11.53m, financed under the CPER by the State, the Region, the ERDF and Nantes Métropole.
