Three new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master proposals accepted by the European Commission

Centrale Nantes is proud to have three new proposals for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters accepted by the European Commission, reflecting the excellence of its study programmes, its international outlook and the quality of its academic partnerships.

These new programmes further extend Centrale Nantes' offering of top-class international programmes. An Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of higher education institutions.

Centrale Nantes was already involved in five Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, three of which as coordinator. These new proposals bring that number to seven EMJMs (four of which as coordinator), which is exceptional in the French higher education sector.
 

Focus on key challenges for the future

The subject areas covered by the three new Masters programmes are geared to addressing contemporary challenges and emerging needs in the labour market.

  • EU-CORE (Master in COntrol of Renewable Energies) focuses on the control of renewable energy systems, a priority in the efforts to combat climate change. It will be coordinated by Centrale Nantes, in partnership with the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany).
  • E-PiCo+ (Master in Electric Vehicle Propulsion and Control), which is being renewed, explores the propulsion and control of electric vehicles, at the heart of the transition to sustainable transport. It is coordinated by Centrale Nantes, in partnership with the University of Aquila (Italy), Kiel University (Germany) and the National University of Science and Technlogy Politehnica Bucharest (Romania).
  • MS² (Master in Mechanics of Sustainable Materials and Structures), explores the key issues in civil engineering for designing and implementing innovative construction technologies, with a focus on sustainable materials and structures. It is coordinated by TU-Dortmund University (Germany), in partnership with Centrale Nantes and the University of Trento (Italy).

These three Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are set to welcome four cohorts of students with their first intake in September 2025.

Acceptance of these projects by the European Commission demonstrates the quality and relevance of the school's study programmes, as well as its commitment to train competent and innovative students to address forward-looking challenges. It also reflects the strength of its partnerships with internationally renowned institutions.
