WESC 2025

Centrale Nantes is organising the Wind Energy Science Conference (WESC2025), a major international event focusing on scientific research in the field of wind energy.

From June 24, 2025 to June 27, 2025 All day

Under the aegis of EAWE (European Academy of Wind Energy)

The aim of the conference is to bring together leading scientists and researchers in the field of wind energy to present their most recent scientific results through oral presentations in parallel sessions, covering all scientific topics relating to wind energy.

In addition to the intrinsic scientific interest of the conference, the aim is to raise the profile of the research being carried out in the Nantes academic arena in the field of offshore wind energy. The local laboratories involved in the ORACLE scientific LabEx will be able to raise their profile with the international scientific community active in wind energy.

The 2025 edition will be held in Nantes from 24 to 27 June

After Copenhagen, Cork, Hanover and Glasgow, the fifth edition of this conference will be held in Nantes.

Organised by Centrale Nantes in partnership with La Cité des Congrès. It will feature a rich and varied programme of oral presentations, themed mini-symposia, networking opportunities and technical visits to emblematic sites such as the SEM-REV offshore test site and the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm.

The conference is resolutely multidisciplinary. The scientific committee is responsible for choosing the conference themes, but all researchers are invited to propose mini-symposia topics. If they are selected, they will form an integral part of the programme.
This original bottom-up approach means that the whole community is involved in building the programme, which benefits from the vitality of the researchers and ensures that the most topical scientific issues are taken into account.
