Adjunct professors
The school has set up this particular role in order to retain and optimise the contribution of a certain number of professors from outside the institution who have an international reputation. A number of professors have been appointed since 2019:

- Centrale Nantes appoints Professor Michael Ortiz of the California Institute of Technology as Adjunct ProfessorNovember 26, 2021Michael Ortiz, Emeritus Professor at California Institute of Technology, is appointed Adjunct Professor at Centrale Nantes.
- Centrale Nantes appoints it first Adjunct Professor: Professor Suresh G. Advani, University of Delaware, USAJune 11, 2018A pioneer in the field of upstream and applied research on composite materials in the USA, Prof. Suresh G. Advani is a leading scientist of international stature in this field. A ceremony was held today at Centrale Nantes to mark his appointment as adjunct professor.
