Erasmus +
Erasmus + is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport.
Erasmus+ offers opportunities not only for students, but also for staff. Merging seven earlier programmes, it provides opportunities for a wide variety of individuals and organisations. The Erasmus + programme comprises 3 key actions:
- Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals
- Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation & the Exchange of Good Practices
- Key Action 3: Support for Policy Reform
Key Action 1 - Learning Mobility of Individuals
KA1 supports mobility in the education, training and youth sectors and aims to bring long lasting benefits to the participants and the organisations involved. Centrale Nantes is / has been involved in:
- Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees
- Mobility of higher education students and staff
- Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates
Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation & the Exchange of Good Practices
The actions under KA2 make it possible for organisations from different participating countries to work together, to develop, share and transfer best practices and innovative approaches in the fields of education, training and youth. Centrale Nantes is a co-ordinator and partner - past and present - of projects in the following programmes:
- Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education
- Sector Skills Alliances
- Strategic Partnerships Project
- Erasmus Mundus Partnerships
Key Action 3 - Support for Policy Reform
KA 3 provides grants for a wide variety of actions aimed at stimulating innovative policy development, policy dialogue and implementation, and the exchange of knowledge in the fields of education, training and youth. The majority of them are managed by the EACEA. Most of the actions under KA3 are managed outside the annual general call for proposals. Centrale Nantes was previously involved in the Lifelong Learning Programme.
