A Club of CEntrale Nantes for Travelling Students
Centrale Nantes offers French language courses for international students. These courses are included in the study programme. No additional fees are applied. A test is organised at the beginning of the academic year to evaluate student level and to constitute groups according to level for classes.
French language courses continue throughout the academic year and include a full range of practical communication language exercices: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, oral expression. The objective is for students to learn general French, and develop oral and written comprehension and expression skills. After completing this course, the students will be able to communicate in spoken and written French, in a simple, but clear, manner on familiar topics in the context of study, hobbies etc. Another key objective of this course is to introduce students to French culture.
At the end of course (120 hours), complete beginners can achieve an A1 level and some aspects of A2 of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. More advanced students may aim for B1/B2 levels.
Centrale Nantes is partnered with CAVILAM, Alliance française Vichy, located in the Auvergne region (central France).
Every summer, a number of Centrale Nantes international students spend 2 months at CAVILAM learning French while enjoying the French lifestyle.
