Originally from Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, Centrale Nantes was my first choice of engineering school. After two years of the engineering programme and an internship in China, I specialised in my final year in "Product Engineering” and “Finance". I was heavily involved in school associations as a student representative and with the school radio.

YOUR CURRENT POSITION

I am currently Key Account Leader Operations in Shenzhen, South China. I manage quality control operations for brands and major distributors around the world. I ensure that their products will be inspected according to their criteria and international standards. I manage a team of four people and communicate daily with more than twenty different nationalities. I train inspectors, propose inspection protocols and define quality control and quality assurance processes for all our customers' products. After a few years of client portfolio management, I intend to move towards managerial and more process-oriented functions. China is a tremendous training ground for young graduates working in industrialization and quality. I intend to broaden my Chinese experience for a few more months before perhaps moving towards a new continent, in the area of ​​quality or product development.

HOW IS YOUR TRAINING HELPING IN YOUR JOB TODAY?

My internships allowed me to put into practice all the know-how and interpersonal skills acquired at Centrale Nantes. The different projects carried out during my studies were also significant: they were captivating and very instructive. Finally, the participation of professionals from different sectors in certain modules or at conferences allowed me to broaden my vision of the world of work and to consider new possibilities for my future.

WHAT DID YOU LIKE AT CENTRALE NANTES?

Centrale Nantes allowed me to discover the practical applications of all the courses followed to date. What was only equations before became very concrete at Centrale. I learned to set up and manage a project and a team. Industrial projects, but also rewarding associative adventures with great people.
