Why did you choose a double degree programme at Centrale Nantes?

The first time I heard about Centrale Nantes was during a conference about the universities where students could pursue a double degree program. What caught my attention was that Centrale Nantes had a first year of general engineering, and one of the best specializations in Civil Engineering in France in the second year. Regarding selection for the double degree program, it consisted, at first, in a review of my CV and interviews with Brazilian professors and representatives from Centrale Nantes.

What were your impressions of the campus and the city of Nantes?

The quality of life in Nantes is outstanding with a lot of places to visit and a lot of activities to participate in. And best of all is that downtown is only 15 minutes by tram from the University. The university life in Centrale Nantes is very rich and there are a lot of activities like parties, sports and cultural events.

And what about your studies at Centrale Nantes?

At first the program can be very challenging. But suddenly the cultures that seemed strange become part of you, the strange people by your side become your best friends, the feeling of being alone become the feeling of being part of a big and beautiful family that is the Centrale Nantes.

Any final words?

My experience at Centrale Nantes changed the person that I am today, personally and professionally. Every student in this university will be an engineer and able to solve a large part of society’s problems using the skills developed during the study program. I would strongly recommend participating in the program to all students with this wonderful opportunity.
