"One of the main reasons why I chose to study at Centrale Nantes is its academic excellence and its international openness. As students we are always looking to grow both personally and professionally, so this institution, on the one hand, offers you a high quality education, giving you the basis for a successful future and, on the other hand, opens the doors to discover different cultures and understand how the world develops beyond your environment through interaction with people of different nationalities."
What do you enjoy or find challenging about the programme so far?
"Studying in a different academic system than the one you are used to is one of the most challenging, but at the same time most interesting challenges, because it is proving to yourself that even though you are not in your comfort zone, you can still face and successfully overcome the different challenges that arise in your academic life. On the other hand, I think it is a lot of fun to be able to share with people from different parts of the world, because you can find different ways of thinking, acting and open your mentality."
What about student life on campus / in Nantes?
"Centrale Nantes is an institution that offers you a variety of student life, from the more than 100 clubs to the different sports you can do, you can be busy all the time with different activities if you wish. As for Nantes, it is a beautiful city where you will easily be able to make friends, because it has a very relaxed student atmosphere. It is an easy city to adapt to during the first year and it has all kinds of things, gastronomy, friendly people, sports facilities, etc."
Any advice for new applicants?
"My biggest advice is to be constant and understand that there is a process of adaptation. At the beginning it is a matter of time and adjusting to the new lifestyle both personally and academically. Likewise, being consistent will help you in both your academic and personal life, from performing well academically and excelling, to achieving your goals and having a better attitude towards challenges in your personal life."
