"I am grateful for the chance to study in Centrale Nantes and the support I’ve received from its staff ..."

Can you describe your experience of the programme in one sentence?
Learning how to translate robots into a set of equations and using them to make robots move.

Why did you choose to study at Centrale Nantes?
Because it's part of the 'Grandes Écoles' system. As I knew when I was in Vietnam, this group brings together the most prestigious engineering universities in France. Centrale Nantes offers a Master in Robotics in English.

What was your career plan before the master and how has it changed since?
Before starting my Master's, I wanted to be a professor. Therefore, I went for a PhD after I got my Master degree but, now, I am not sure.

What is your current position? Which topics are you working on?
I am a PhD candidate at Centrale Nantes. I am working on perception for autonomous vehicles.

What advice would you give to future applicants?
Study hard!

If you had to describe Centrale Nantes in 3 words, which ones would you choose? And why?
Eye-opening: I got to know many great people here (my classmates & professors). They help me grow as an engineer and as a human.
Growth: Coming to Centrale Nantes was a big step outside my comfort zone. As they said “progress takes place outside the comfort zone”, I want to believe I have been continuously making progress.
Grateful: I am grateful for the chance to study in Centrale Nantes and the support I’ve received from its staff.
