Why did you decide to join Centrale Nantes for this Master's programme?
"I decided to join Centrale Nantes because of its outstanding reputation throughout France, particularly in the field of industrial engineering. This Master's programme offers a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, which is essential for a successful career in this field. With 2.5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector as a cost engineer, I believe this programme is an ideal fit for my professional development. Additionally, the opportunity to study in France, a country known for its innovation and industrial advancements, was very appealing to me."
What do you think of the programme so far?
"I am thoroughly enjoying the programme so far. The courses are industry-oriented, and we have numerous projects that help us apply the theories we've learned. One of the aspects I appreciate most is the focus on teaching us various software tools and programming languages that are widely used in the industry. The project works are challenging, encouraging us to think critically and solve complex problems. Additionally, the programme includes many group projects, presentations, and collaborative work, which helps us develop our soft skills. The professors are highly knowledgeable and supportive, and I especially appreciate the small class sizes, which allow for more personalized attention and assistance whenever we need it."
What about student life on campus / in Nantes?
"Student life at Centrale Nantes is vibrant and diverse, which is one of the reasons I chose this university. There are many clubs and societies, and the university organizes a wide range of events throughout the year. The lively student community and frequent events make campus life enjoyable. Nantes is an amazing city for students, I have never felt alone here thanks to the friends I have made, who feel more like family. The presence of many international students adds to the enriching experience as we share our cultures, languages, and experiences. It’s really fun here, and the city itself is beautiful and green, creating a perfect balance between studies and leisure. Overall, the combination of a supportive university community and the vibrant city of Nantes makes for an exceptional student life experience."
Any advice for new applicants?
"My advice for new applicants is to achieve at least an A2 level in French before coming to France. This will elevate your language skills and help you with both your career and day-to-day life, as not everyone in France speaks English. Additionally, take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available at Centrale Nantes. Be proactive in seeking out internships and projects, as they are crucial for gaining practical experience. Engage with your peers and professors, as networking is an important aspect of professional growth. Lastly, don't forget to explore Nantes and enjoy the unique experiences it has to offer."
What are your plans for the future?
"After completing my Master's degree, I plan to pursue a career in industrial engineering, focusing on process optimization and sustainable manufacturing. I aim to work for a leading global company where I can apply the skills and knowledge, I have gained at Centrale Nantes to contribute to innovative industrial solutions. Eventually, I hope to take on a leadership role and make significant contributions to the field."
