"My name is Sowmya, I am an Indian. I am an Aeronautical engineer with more than three years of work experience. I am currently doing internship as an Assistant Business/Project Manager in VINCI Energies Oil & Gas as part of my master’s in industrial engineering, Agile Factory Management here at Centrale Nantes."
Why did you decide to join Centrale Nantes for this Master's programme?
"I wanted to do a master where I can see “The Entire World under one roof”. With my intensive research on all details, I was convinced by Centrale Nantes because it is a place where you can find “The Entire World under one roof" . Centrale Nantes is a top ranking engineering school in France, with cutting edge research, 87 nationalities, 400 combined courses, 110 clubs and activities and the list is endless.
Another reason, ‘Why Centrale Nantes’ is because of its curriculum which was so intensively structured. Even though I knew it was intensive, I wanted to do such an intensive masters programme in order to become more competent and more qualified."
What do you think of the programme so far?
"I am currently undertaking my end of studies internship. All the way through my internship I have been consistently grateful for the Centrale Nantes curriculum, knowledge gained here, project work with students of different nationalities, intensive guidance of professors in order to face the French workforce. This master's programme has equipped me so well and so deeply to face the real world industry. The French language classes also has helped me to understand the work culture and made me industry ready."
What about student life on campus / in Nantes?
"Student life on campus is very integrated because we have high quality amenities which help students like us to study, do the project work inside the campus. In case of personal life also, we can do workouts, do sports, join N number of clubs inside the campus itself.
I was in the Astronomy club, it was an absolute galaxy gazing experience I saw the JUPITER, MARS, MOON in the telescope. This is what Centrale Nantes is all about. It’s really not a campus it’s a different world inside Centrale Nantes.
Nantes is a very quiet, peaceful place, a city for student."
Any advice for new applicants?
"Be open minded to learn, evolve, explore, enjoy the new world called Centrale Nantes. Be competitive. Be a language learner. You are in Europe, you need a language to feel home. Your home is France, so you need French."
What are your plans for the future?
"My plan is to become a competent Project Manager. It is my dream. As I can speak professional French at the moment, I want to be more fluent in French. My plan for the future is to become a CEO so now I am always approaching in CEO mindset only, because "You become what you think about."

"Dreams come True”
